Job summary

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington seeks a Staff Accountant to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets under the Accounting Manager. This full-time role requires accurate MIS data maintenance and timely month-end close.

The ideal candidate has an AA in accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel and ADP skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural organization. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with required accounting classes (Intro to Accounting I & II, Managerial Accounting).
• 5+ years experience in accounting with progressive responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and accounting software packages.
• Ability to work in a team environment and also take initiative independently.
• Demonstrates culturally competent service delivery in multicultural settings.
• Criminal history background checks are required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable / Cash Receipts processing and billing to funding sources; maintain ledgers and reports.
• Accounts Payable processing; vendor setup, 1099s, reconciliations.
• Payroll administration in ADP; data entry, reports, and GL entries.
• Fixed assets: depreciation schedules and asset tracking; quarterly reconciliation.
• General ledger activity related to salaries, benefits, payroll taxes, and expenses.
• Assist in annual regional office audits with information related to accounts payable and receivables.
