Job summary

Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed asset tasks under the Accounting Manager’s supervision. The role emphasizes accurate MIS data maintenance, timely billing, and monthly reporting.

The position requires an AA in accounting with 5 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and ability to work in a team as well as independently.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting or related field.
• 5 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable and cash receipts and maintain billing records.
• Process accounts payable, verify invoices, and ensure proper 1099 handling.
• Maintain and reconcile payroll data in ADP and prepare related journal entries.
• Prepare general ledger entries and assist with annual audits.
• Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
