Job summary

Breeze Airways in Plano, TX is hiring a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting activities and the month-end close process. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and contribute to flux analyses, while partnering with the finance team to drive process improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a 4-year Accounting degree with 0-3 years of experience and excel in detail-oriented work. Strong communication, organizational skills, and US work authorization are required for this position

Qualifications

• 4-year degree with a concentration in Accounting.
• 0-3 years of overall accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• An energetic and positive attitude with a hands-on mentality
• Ability to understand and articulate data and financial results
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
• Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily activities and month-end close process
• Key member of the month-end close team - prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and perform flux analysis
• Work closely with the accounting team to drive process improvement
• Assist in the preparation and planning for the annual financial statement audit
• Development of policies and processes that will scale with company growth
• Work collaboratively across teams, providing actionable insights to help drive optimal business decisions
• Complete ad-hoc tasks and project work as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group
