Job summary

Sante Health System in Fresno, CA is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant / Accountant I to support financial operations for assigned clients through accurate accounting, financial analysis, and proactive client service. The role includes preparing ledgers, bank reconciliations, capitation reports, and collaborating with other departments while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

Salary: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour; benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, PTO, and advancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• 4+ years' experience in finance or accounting (healthcare preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Access and Excel preferred.

Sante Health System in Fresno, CA is looking to hire a full-time Staff Accountant / Accountant I. This position plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of assigned clients through accurate accounting, financial analysis, and proactive client service. Responsibilities include maintaining accounting records, preparing financial analyses, maintaining effective client relationships, and proactively addressing client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 4+ years' experience in finance or accounting including experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
• Experience with intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office applications required with advanced use of Microsoft Access and Excel preferred.

Candidates should have exceptional people and communication skills, be highly skilled in multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares capitation reports including analysis and reconciliation.
• Prepares monthly bank reconciliation reports
• Assists in the preparation of general ledgers, journal entries and workpapers.
• Assists with the weekly check run process.
• Provide guidance to other finance staff on accounting related issues.
• Prepares monthly capitation payments.
• Prepares special managements reports as requested.
• Prepares the account reconciliations to determine accuracy, completeness, and items of concern.
• Liaison between Finance and other company departments
• Must be able to clearly communicate with clients/brokers when necessary
• Assist as needed with new group implementations in regards to Finance functions
• Understand weekly funding processes for TPA clients
• Strategize with internal departments to address/resolve any client or process related issues
• Assist with Special Projects as required.
• Interacts with other departments to create cohesiveness and increase communications.
• Maintains and/or understands Sage 100 accounting system and all related subledgers
• Perform problem analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain and generate required reports including those required by regulatory bodies, Health Plans and delegation standards.
• Attend a variety of meetings and participate in committees as requested.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality in regard to HIPAA requirements, patient account status, Santé and its clients.
