Job summary

Carolina Family Health Centers in Wilson, NC, is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, cash management, GL, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting under the CFO/Director of Finance.

The role offers a 40-hour workweek, no weekends, a full benefits package, 12 paid holidays, and bi-weekly pay. Strong Excel and Word skills expected; BA/BS in accounting and 4 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Four years of related experience in an accounting environment, including payroll.
• A combination of education and/or relevant experience is acceptable.
• Intermediate level with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Be an active part in creating strategies to improve financial performance.
• Collaborate with all other departments to gather relevant financial information.
• Review real time operational data, in-depth financial metrics, and create key performance indicators geared toward analyzing both long and short-term financial health with data collected from all other departments.
• Stays up-to-date on current and ongoing factors that greatly affects revenue which includes but is not limited to Medicaid, Medicare, 340b, third-party payors, value-based care.
• Reviews and analyzes current and ongoing billing practices.
• Seek to revitalize reports that are currently utilized by improving efficiency, usability, and user interface.
