Job summary

LHH is assisting a client in Winter Park, FL to fill a Staff Accountant position. This onsite, direct-hire role focuses on day-to-day accounting and month-end close with a strong emphasis on general ledger integrity and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, and month-end close. Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manage bank reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, and prepaid expenses.
• Assist with variance analysis and cash receipts processing.
• Support audits and identify process improvements.

Our client in Winter Park, FL is seeking an onsite, direct hire Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement and supporting schedule preparation
• Complete bank reconciliations and research reconciling items
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and prepaid expense accounting
• Assist with variance analysis
• Apply cash receipts and support accounts receivable functions
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support internal and external audits
• Identify process improvements and assist with special projects

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of Staff Accountant or general accounting experience
• Strong experience with: Bank Reconciliations, Fixed Assets & Depreciation, Journal Entries, Month-End Close, Prepaid Expenses, General Ledger Accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Salary Range

• $60-70K
