Job summary

Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services is seeking a Staff Accountant in Wilmington, Ohio to support heavy maintenance billing and revenue functions, manage project-based financial activity, and ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel; you will liaise between Accounting, Heavy Maintenance Project Managers, and customer representatives to optimize financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an associate degree with 3–4 years of applicable experience.
• Three or more years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in the airline or MRO industry.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Compile project data for weekly status reporting and invoicing.
• Oversee the complete billing cycle from invoice preparation through final payment.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including revenue recognition.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customer representatives and internal accounting personnel.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Accounting team and Heavy Maintenance Project Managers.
• Analyze and report on project financial and performance metrics.
• Conduct special studies and assist in refining accounting methods and procedures.
• Coordinate accounting-related matters with other departments and partner accounting teams.
• Provide technical guidance to the A/R Analyst as needed.

Position Summary
