Job Description
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented temporary to hire Staff Accountant with a strong accounting foundation and experience gained through public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and looking to further develop their accounting career in a collaborative environment. This position offers a hybrid work schedule in the Bellevue, WA office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare audit schedules and serve as a point of contact for external auditors.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Two or more years of accounting experience, preferably with public accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience supporting audits and managing account reconciliations.
- Combination of public accounting and private industry experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Pay Details: $37.00 to $39.00 per hour
