Job summary

CFS is seeking a Staff Accountant in the Greater Boston area on a hybrid schedule. You will own the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of entities, including AP, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close, while coordinating with operational leaders and the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills; QuickBooks or ERP experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication in a fast-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of entities, including AP, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for operational leaders and support day-to-day financial activities.
• Prepare account reconciliations, financial schedules, and monthly reporting.
• Support integration of acquired businesses into the accounting function.

Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of entities, including AP, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for operational leaders and support day-to-day financial activities.
• Prepare account reconciliations, financial schedules, and monthly reporting.
• Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into the accounting function.
• Assist with process improvements, automation initiatives, and special projects alongside Accounting Leadership.

Staff Accountant Qualifications
