Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

As a Staff Accountant, your mission is to equip our clients with accurate financial statements so we can provide them with the financial insights they need to grow their business.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
2. Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
3. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
4. Categorizing Transactions
5. Communicating With the Team via Slack
6. Answering Client Questions via Slack
7. Updating Project Statuses in Our Internal Systems
8. Proactively Updating and Reaching Out to Clients
9. Cleaning Up and Optimizing the Books of Current and Newly Onboarded Clients
10. Fill out End of Day Form
11. Process Improvement: Identify Opportunities for Process Improvements and Efficiency Enhancements

Requirements

1. Expert in QuickBooks Online
2. Strong Understanding of How Categorizations Affect Financial Statements
3. 1+ Years Experience Working in QuickBooks Online
4. Ability to Optimize Chart of Accounts
5. Ability to Make Adjusting Journal Entries
6. Resourceful & Adaptable Mindset
7. Strong Attention to Detail
8. U.S. Based, High Level English Speaking & Writing Skills
9. Reliable Internet and Quiet Office Space
10. Tech Setup for Remote Work (Webcam, Microphone)
11. Experience with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
12. Available to Work a Full Time Schedule

Bonus Experience

1. CPA Preferred but Not Required
2. Other Certifications: QBO, Xero, EA, FathomHQ, Etc.
3. Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accountancy or Relevant Field
