Job summary

CFS in Towson, MD is seeking a Staff Accountant - Billing & General Accounting to join our corporate accounting team. You will contribute to monthly close, billing activities, and reconciliations while learning across the ledger in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

• Solid understanding of GAAP, debits and credits, and basic accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic Excel proficiency and willingness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly financial close.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support accounts receivable, invoicing, and recurring billing activities.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing questions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assist with annual audits and accounting documentation.
• Support the accounting leadership team with special projects and reporting.
