Mass Markets is seeking an Accountant to manage accounting operations, produce financial reports, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 1–2 years of relevant experience, including accounts receivable and month-end closing.

In this role you will be accountable for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accurate accounting records, and a comprehensive system of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
• Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions.
• Enter AP bills and credit card transactions as needed.
• Perform month‑end closing and reconciliation.
• Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting information.
• Perform bank reconciliation.
• Support department peers as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 1–2 years of accrual‑basis accounting experience, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month‑end closing, and bank reconciliation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage projects.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, organize priorities, and work independently.
• Exceptionally self‑motivated and directed.

Physical Requirements

The job is performed in a professional office environment. The employee will be largely sedentary, required to sit/stand, use a computer, telephone headset, and other office equipment. Occasional light lifting up to 40 pounds is expected.
