Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Venteon and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a STAFF ACCOUNTANT to provide support in the Metro Detroit area. You will work as part of the accounting team accomplishing daily and monthly activities.

POSITION TYPE: Full time. 100% in office. Contract-to-Direct Hire.

PAY: $70,000 - $75,000 annual plus PTO and benefits

Requirements of the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience. Experience in the medical / health care industry needed.
• Experience supporting a multi-party company entity and processing intercompany transactions needed.
• Direct Accounting or Bookkeeping experience with general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable that include cash management.
• Organized and dependable person.
• Technical skills needed: MS Office Suite, Intermediate to advanced Excel, and QuickBooks.

Duties of the Staff Accountant:

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities related to AP, AR, and Cash.
• Manage intercompany transactions for multiple entities.
• Review, code, enter and process vendor invoices for payment. Reconcile vendor statements.
• Prepare bank deposits. Post and reconcile cash received. Resolve collection issues.
• Prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations. Provide support for the month end close process.
• Support various audits such as workers compensation and complete various government required reports.
• Support the payment of quarterly taxes. Prepare 1099’s.
• Track the organizations fixed assets.
