Job summary

CFS is seeking a Staff Accountant in Virginia to contribute to general ledger accounting and business tax work within a government services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience in general ledger accounting or tax‑related work.
• Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Support month-end close preparation and related reporting
• Prepare and manage business taxes, including property, license, sales, and excise taxes
• Assist with state and local tax compliance requirements
• Complete ad hoc tasks & projects as requested
