Job summary

First PREMIER Bankcard seeks a Staff Accountant to join our Sioux Falls team. The role focuses on accurate journal entries for the credit card portfolio, reconciling ledgers and deposits, and supporting monthly financial reporting processes.

You will also review expenses, back up invoice approvals, and help develop departmental policies to improve accounting operations. A solid foundation in GAAP and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding GAAP and ability to apply it to journal entries and reconciliations.
• Accurately calculate, post and assess accounting figures and records.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily credit card settlement journal entries, settlement runs, wire transfers and reconciliations.
• Maintain monthly fixed assets (disposals and capitalization).
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages.
• Review and approve expense reports.
• Back up for research and approval of supplier invoices.
• Contribute to the development of departmental policies and protocols.
