Job summary

CFS in Seymour, CT is seeking a Staff Accountant to support multi-entity accounting activities and ownership of financial processes. The role offers stability, flexibility, and hands-on involvement in month-end close, audits, and financial reporting.

You will work across entities with a Monday–Friday schedule and some WFH flexibility, gaining exposure to cash management, intercompany accounting, and tax filings while contributing to a well‑structured organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash reconciliations and bank activity.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close.
• Reconcile balance sheet and intercompany accounts.
• Produce internal financial statements and schedules.
• Initiate ACH payments and handle bank transfers.
• Support audits, tax filings, and fixed asset tracking.
