LHH is recruiting for a Staff Accountant in Ridgefield, NJ. This direct-hire role offers onsite work with hybrid flexibility after training and remote work one day per week. Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 based on experience.

The position supports month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a real estate portfolio. Ideal candidates have an Accounting degree and internship or accounting experience, with potential for growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

Location: Ridgefield, NJ Area (Onsite with Hybrid Flexibility After Training to WFM 1 day per week)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 based on experience

A well-established real estate development and property management company in the Ridgefield, NJ area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a recent Accounting graduate with internship experience looking to launch a career in accounting or an experienced Staff Accountant seeking continued growth in a stable and collaborative environment.

Following the training period, employees will have the opportunity to work remotely one day per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries and account adjustments
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash account analysis
• Prepare and maintain Excel-based schedules and supporting documentation
• Support billing, cash receipts, and cash management functions

• Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc accounting projects
• Support various accounting functions related to a portfolio of real estate assets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Yardi software strongly preferred
• Familiarity with MRI, Yardi conversions, or property accounting systems is a plus

Compensation

• $60,000 - $65,000 for recent graduates with internship experience
• Up to $85,000 - $90,000 for candidates with strong accounting experience and industry background
