ImmunEdge has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Specialist to join our growing Finance team in a hybrid role based out of Plano, TX. This early‑career position supports month‑end close, accounts payable, and general ledger activities, with room to grow in a fast‑moving biotech startup.

We seek detail‑oriented individuals eager to learn, with a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance and up to 3 years experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; public accounting a plus.
• Working knowledge of core accounting principles (US GAAP).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
• Comfort with accounting systems and tools; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a supportive start‑up environment.

Responsibilities

• Support full‑cycle month‑end close, including journal entry preparation, accruals, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Assist with recording payroll and lease‑related entries.
• Process accounts payable, including reviewing and coding invoices, to help ensure timely, accurate vendor payments.
• Facilitate vendor onboarding and contract and purchase‑request intake, routing documents into our contract management system.
• Assist with year‑end audit support, including responding to external auditor requests.
• Support employee expense and T&E processing.
• Maintain well‑organized, audit‑ready records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes.

• Experience in biotech, pharma, or another early‑stage/start‑up environment
• NetSuite experience
• Experience with AI tools (i.e. Claude in Excel)
• Exposure to AP automation, T&E platforms, forecasting platforms, or contract management systems

Expected Salary Range

$70,000 - $90,000
