Responsibilities

• General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
• Financial Reporting and Reconciliations: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports; create variance reports; reconcile balance sheet accounts; reconcile bank accounts.
• Other Duties: Assist with financial and tax audits; review and improve processes; handle special projects; collaborate with Central and Campus teams to ensure timely, accurate information.

The Staff Accountant role is a vital role on the Finance Team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. This role is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Maintenance:
  • Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
  • Ensure the accuracy of the accounting data and make necessary corrections as required
• Financial Reporting and Reconciliations:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Create variance reports to analyze income/expenses ensuring accurate reporting
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Other Duties:
  • Assist with financial and tax audits
  • Continuous review and improvements of processes and procedures
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Collaborate with Central and Campus teams to streamline processes and ensure information is timely and accurate

Qualifications
