Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
• Experience working with grants, government funding, or contract accounting strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with Financial Edge NXT is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for assigned grants and government-funded programs
• Perform bank, prepaid expense, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end close and general ledger maintenance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and government contract requirements
• Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting requests
• Analyze accounting data and resolve discrepancies as needed
• Collaborate with program managers and internal departments on contract-related financial matters
