Job summary

Beacon Hill is representing a reputable technology company seeking a Staff Accountant for a hybrid role (2 days in the office) in Chicago. You will handle month-end close activities, journal entries, and variance analysis, while supporting internal controls and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong analytical and teamwork skills in a fast-paced finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Supported month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Managed benefit accruals, allocations, prepaid expenses, and amortization schedules.
• Maintained fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and rollforward reporting.
• Assisted with T&E accounting processes and expense reconciliations.
• Helped develop, implement, and document accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provided ad hoc financial analysis and accounting support across the finance team.

The responsibilities of the Staff Accountantare, but are not limited to:

• Supported month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Managed benefit accruals, allocations, prepaid expenses, and recurring amortization schedules.
• Maintained fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and rollforward reporting.
• Assisted with T&E accounting processes and expense-related reconciliations.
• Helped develop, implement, and document accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provided ad hoc financial analysis and accounting support across the finance team.
