Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other closely related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience required, 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience working with ERP, project accounting, or financial management systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and month-end close activities.
• Perform and maintain complex monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Analyze general ledger accounts for discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Record cash receipts and maintain daily/weekly/monthly cash reporting; complete bank reconciliations.
• Review monthly credit card statements and invoices with proper approvals and GL coding.
• Create and analyze Accounts Payable reports for timely subconsultant and vendor payments.
• Assist with preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting packages.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Provide guidance and training to Staff Accountants as needed.
• Complete ad hoc analyses and special projects for Controller.

We're seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Oklahoma City team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end closing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and other activities that help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, financial analyses, accruals, and month-end close activities toensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform andmaintaincomplex monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, andensuretimelyresolution of outstanding items.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and financial transactions toidentifydiscrepancies, trends, oropportunities for process improvement.
• Record cash receipts andmaintaindaily, weekly, and monthly cash reporting; perform bankreconciliations and resolve reconciling items independently.
• Review and process monthly credit card statements and invoices, ensuring proper approvals,supporting documentation, andaccurategeneral ledger coding.
• Create,maintain, and analyze Accounts Payable reports used tofacilitatetimelysubconsultantand vendor payments.
• Assistwith the preparation, review, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use taxreturns.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, andresponding to auditor inquiries.
• Assistin preparing financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reportingpackages.

• Provide guidance and training to Staff Accountants and other accounting team members asneeded.

Qualifications
