Job summary

SEI in Oaks, PA seeks a Revenue Accountant to focus on monthly close processes including contract review, billing, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue analysis. You’ll maintain the billing system, review contracts, and support revenue streams with strong SOX controls.

Responsibilities include creating invoices, monitoring accounts, and collaborating with Business Management. A Bachelor’s in Accounting with 3+ years experience and proficiency in Excel are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with accounting systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritize, multi-task, and build relationships.

  • Maintain the billing system for new clients and changes.
  • Post, reconcile journal entries to the Accounting System.
  • Review contracts for new clients and understand product offerings.
  • Maintain SOX 404 process controls related to revenue streams.
  • Create and distribute invoices to SEI Clients.
  • Monitor balance sheet accounts related to revenue streams.
  • Provide support to Business Management for revenue streams.

Job description

The Revenue Team in the Corporate Accounting Group is responsible for the following:

  • Revenue recognition and reporting across all business markets
  • Maintenance of all revenue and billing systems
  • Client billing and accounts receivable management
  • Internal control compliance for all revenue processes

The Revenue Accountant will primarily be focused on the monthly accounting close process which includes contract review, systems maintenance, journal entries, billing, account reconciliation, and revenue analysis.

What you will do:
  • Maintain the billing system as a result of new clients, contract changes, or business changes.
  • Calculate, post, and reconcile journal entries to the Accounting System
  • Review contracts for new clients and understand product offerings.
  • Maintain SOX 404 process controls related to specific revenue streams.
  • Create and distribute invoices to SEI Clients
  • Monitor Balance Sheet accounts related to specific revenue streams
  • Provide support to Business Management for specific revenue streams
What we need from you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting orrelated field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience (accounting or finance / business)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products,especially Excel
  • Strong communication, organizational,and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical skills andexperience working with various accounting systems (preferred)
  • Ability to think and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through with goals and objectives
  • Ability to develop and manage successful internal and external relationship
