Job summary

SEI Corporation in the United States seeks an in-house contracts attorney to draft, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements using SEI templates and standards.

You will educate internal clients, manage multiple concurrent transactions, apply regulatory changes, and contribute to governance, risk management and contract playbooks. Strong judgment, communication and collaboration are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating and advising stakeholders with respect to commercial contracts using SEI templates and standards.
• Independently manage routine contract matters and negotiations, seeking guidance on complex issues.
• Educating internal clients with respect to positions and issues during negotiations.
• Working with internal clients to solve legal, risk and business issues in commercial transactions.
• Applying regulatory changes to new and existing contracts.
• Managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects and transactions.
• Participating in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and third-party risk management.
• Populating and maintaining contract files and repositories.
• Assist with development and refinement of contract templates, playbooks and legal resources.

Job description

What you will do:

• Drafting, negotiating and advising stakeholders with respect to commercial contracts using SEI templates and standards
• Independently manage routine contract matters and negotiations, seeking guidance on more complex or higher-risk issues as appropriate
• Educating internal clients with respect to the positions and issues that arise during contractual negotiations
• Working with internal clients to solve legal, risk and business issues that arise in commercial transactions
• Understanding and applying regulatory changes to new and existing contracts
• Managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects and transactions
• Participating in various activities related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and third-party risk management
• Populating and maintaining contract files and repositories
• Assist with the development and refinement of contract templates, playbooks and other legal resources
