Job summary

Ascendo Resources, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant with nonprofit experience for a fully onsite role in East Harlem, NY. The position involves supporting the finance team, grant accounting, and monthly close with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, grant claims, audit preparation, and collaboration with the Director of Finance. Sage Intacct and Excel are used daily; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit.
• Strong Excel skills; Sage Intacct experience preferred.
• Knowledge of grant accounting, payroll allocations, and grant claims is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work fully onsite during the temporary assignment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (35+ hours/week)
