Job summary

LHH in Nashville is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting team. You will prepare and post journal entries, assist with month-end close, reconcile accounts, and support AP/AR while collaborating with the Assistant Controller.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Assist with financial reporting and account analysis.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Partner with internal departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
