Job summary

Nom Nom, a dog-focused company in Nashville, seeks a Staff Accountant to join our expanding finance team. You will fulfill orders, prepare and process invoices, and ensure accurate entry in our financial system, while supporting daily A/R activities and close processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, at least 2 years in accounting, and strong Excel and US GAAP knowledge; NetSuite experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill orders, prepare and process customer invoices, and ensure proper recording in the financial system.
• Monitor A/R emails daily and respond accordingly.
• Manage the collections process and coordinate with customers and internal teams.
• Support timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close including journal entries.
• Support standard costing setup, new item setup, and inventory reporting.
• Assist with ledger/account reconciliations.
• Reconcile daily bank account transactions.
• Produce ad hoc reports as directed by the Controller.

Staff Accountant

Job Description:

• Fulfill orders, prepare and process customer invoices, and ensure proper recording in the company's financial system.
• Monitor A/R emails daily and respond accordingly.
• Manage the collections process and work closely with customers and internal team on clearing variances.
• Support accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year end close including the preparation of journal entries.
• Support standard costing setup, new item setup, and maintain inventory reporting.
• Support ledger/account reconciliations.
• Reconcile daily bank account transactions.
• Ad hoc reports & assignments as directed by the Controller.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, and/or general accounting.
• General understanding of US GAAP.
• Must have strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP's.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with NetSuite preferred.
