Job Details

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our thriving Accounting and Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills, knowledge, and experience in a challenging and rewarding role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial operations, including month-end closing, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. The role also involves reconciling accounts to ensure their accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for finance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: AP, AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
  • Liaise with our Tax Accountant, Auditor, and other external parties as necessary.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Analyze budgets and create expense reports.
  • Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in MS Excel.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and report critical financial matters to management.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
