Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Accessories Division in Monroe, NC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and help ensure accurate financial reporting. You will prepare monthly journal entries, support GL coding of invoices, and assist in the month-end close.

You will analyze balance sheet accounts, prepare sales and use tax returns, and participate in special projects. Strong Excel skills and GAAP knowledge are required; some travel may be up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2–3 years of professional work experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots, macros) and ability to retrieve/analyze data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries with precision.
• Support AP activities by GL coding invoices.
• Assist in month-end close for timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and analyze sales and use tax returns.
