Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Accessories Division in Monroe, NC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a global finance team. This onsite role reports to the Senior Accountant and supports month-end close, journal entries, AP coding, and balance sheet analysis.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting and 2–3 years of experience, with strong Excel skills and the ability to collaborate with business partners. Power BI and ERP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2–3 years of professional work experience supporting financial and accounting initiatives.
• Strong technical acumen using MS Excel (v-lookups, pivots, macros).
• Proficiency in working with different systems to retrieve and analyze data.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners.
• Limited travel (up to 5% domestically) if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries with precision.
• Support Accounts Payable activities by GL Coding invoices.
• Assist in the month-end close process for timely financial reporting.
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze sales and use tax returns.
• Contribute to special projects with financial expertise.
• Suggest improvements to day-to-day procedures and controls.
• Respond to ad hoc information requests and reports.
