Job summary

Group O, Inc. in Milan, IL is seeking a Staff Accountant to support critical accounting functions across AP/AR, bank reconciliations, GL entries and financial reporting. The role reports to the Finance department and requires strong Excel and ERP skills.

Staff Accountant

Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour

Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing critical accounting functions in support of assigned business units.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Performing critical accounting functions:
  • Accounts payable review
  • Accounts receivable review
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • General ledger entries
  • General ledger reconciliations
  • Generating and analyzing financial reports
  • Budget and forecast preparation and review
• Supporting operations in accounting related matters:
  • Providing financial reporting
  • Reviewing invoices

Job Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Financial Statement preparation and general ledger reconciliation
• Budgeting/forecasting
• Strong organization skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to learn and work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
