Job summary

West Shore Home in Mechanicsburg, PA (Onsite) is seeking a Staff Accountant to compile and audit data and reports to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis and management review. In this role you will participate in closing books, prepare journal entries, perform general ledger account reconciliations, and assist with financial analysis and audits.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA is preferred but not required; strong Excel and MS

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will compile and audit data and reports to support internal and external reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis and manager review.

Key Role Accountabilities

• Participate in closing accounting books and finalize the financial records monthly (5 business day goal) by preparing applicable journal entries timely and accurately.
• Perform general ledger account analysis and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis.Compile data and reports to support internal and external reporting as necessary.Provide additional support for internal and external audits as necessary.

  Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA preferred, not required.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
