Job summary

D&H Distributing is seeking an experienced Sr Staff Accountant for a hybrid role based near Harrisburg, PA. You will manage financial reporting, GL analysis, and the monthly close process while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

The role requires 5–10 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in accounting or related discipline, and familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office. CPA is a plus.

We are searching for an experienced Sr Staff Accountant at our Corporate facility.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Sr Staff Accountant

This a hybrid role. Must be located within 60 miles of Harrisburg, PA.

Summary

The Senior Staff Accountant assumes responsibility for various accounting functions such as financial reporting and development, general ledger analysis, accounting process analysis, and coordinating the monthly close process.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Financial reports and GL account analysis.
• Financial Report development.
• General ledger account and bank reconciliations.
• Preparation and review of Journal Entries.
• Assist with budget preparation along with research of budget variances.
• Developing, administering and monitoring accounting processes, policies and procedures.
• Quick resolution of accounting challenges.
• Serve as a resource to Finance team as well as other departments.
• Special Projects as assigned.

Additional Duties

• Keeps work area neat, clean and hazard free.
• Must work in other areas, as needed for cross training and/or workload.
• Other related duties as assigned.
