Ideal candidates have 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience and are eager to grow into a Senior Accountant role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly close process, including account reconciliations and analytical review.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile and monitor daily cash activity.
• Support cash flow analysis and reporting.
• Prepare operational and financial reports for management.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Help improve accounting processes and identify efficiencies.
• Work closely with operational teams to support business initiatives.
• Assist with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and other accounting projects as needed.

Staff Accountant
Salary: Up to $85,000
Location: Nottingham, MD

Are you a Staff Accountant looking for the next step in your career? Our client is a well-known and growing organization who is seeking a motivated accounting professional who wants to expand their responsibilities, gain exposure to month-end close and financial reporting, and work alongside an exceptional Controller who is committed to mentoring and developing talent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience who is ready to build the skills needed to transition into a future Senior Accountant role.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with the monthly close process, including account reconciliations and analytical review
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close activities
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
• Desire to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility
