Beacon Hill is seeking a Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity in Maple Shade, NJ. The ideal candidate has 1-3+ years of accounting experience and will support reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close.

This position runs through year-end with potential for extensions; compensation is $28-$30/hour, depending on experience. Prior Staff Accountant or Junior Accountant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Experience supporting month-end close activities preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.

• Perform daily cash reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare and maintain bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and accounting transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Support month end and year end close activities
• Maintain AP reconciliations and accounting subledgers
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and transactional issues
• Analyze financial data and assist with reporting accuracy improvements
• Support accounting process improvements and workflow efficiencies
• Provide audit support and gather requested documentation
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc accounting assignments

A Beacon Hill client in the distribution/manufacturing industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team in Maple Shade, NJ. This is a contract opportunity expected to run through year-end, with potential for extensions. The ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in reconciliations, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close support. Compensation is $28-$30/hour, depending on experience. Previous Staff Accountant, Accounting Associate, or Junior Accountant experience is preferred.

Position Summary

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis and reporting functions
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to identify, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
