Job description

Reporting to the Accounting Manager the staff accountant will work on month end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, compliance, indirect tax, and other special projects.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
Prepare month end accrual entries.
Accounting support & reconciliations for the following:
Intercompany.
Fixed assets & Capex.
Right of use assets.
Property tax and Heavy Equipment tax
Input financial data in BPC.
Validate sales tax exemption certificates and upload exemption certificates in OneSource.
Review accrued use tax and prepare use tax correction upload files.
Assist with internal and external audit.
Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required and master’s degree is a plus.
Bilingual English & Spanish. The candidate must speak, write and read Spanish language.
SAP experience is a must, Sales and Use tax experience is preferred.
Motivation to learn within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of recent work experience in a related field.
Self-motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
