About the Opportunity
A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced **Senior
Accountant** to join its management team. This is a hands-on role
responsible for accounting, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing
support, inventory control, and office administration.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a small to mid-sized business
environment and is comfortable managing a wide range of accounting and
administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- * Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- * Prepare journal entries and perform month-end closing
- * Process invoices and monitor customer payments
- * Maintain cash flow reports and financial records
- * Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and management reports
- * Assist with annual audits and tax-related documentation
- * Maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks
### Purchasing & Sales Support
- * Prepare customer quotations and sales orders
- * Process purchase orders and obtain internal approvals
- * Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, deliveries, and payment terms
- * Support purchasing activities and vendor communications
### Inventory & Cost Accounting
- * Maintain inventory records and Bills of Materials (BOM)
- * Update inventory information in QuickBooks
- * Investigate inventory discrepancies
- * Support cost accounting and inventory reporting
### Human Resources & Administration
- * Process payroll and assist with employee benefits administration
- * Support recruiting and onboarding activities
- * Coordinate with external IT vendors and office service providers
- * Maintain office operations and administrative functions
- * Prepare reports for corporate management as needed
## Qualifications
- * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- * 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- * Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, month-end close, and financial reporting
- * Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred
- * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- * Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
## Preferred Qualifications
- * Manufacturing industry experience
- * Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
- * Payroll processing experience
- * Purchasing or supply chain support experience
- * ERP system experience
- * Experience working in a small or mid-sized company
- * Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required
