OPEN Healthcare US in Gardena seeks a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, assist with month-end close, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role offers growth within a fast-paced healthcare organization.

The position involves journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR processing, and collaboration across functions to ensure financial integrity and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience (internships accepted).
• Strong attention to detail with solid organizational and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting controls.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment; on-site in Gardena.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including month-end accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and fixed asset transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including daily bank reconciliations, and investigate variances.
• Manage accounts payable: process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding, and support timely payments.
• Support accounts receivable: invoicing, cash application, and collections follow-up.
• Perform monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analysis with commentary.
• Assist with financial reports, internal schedules, and audits/tax filings documentation.
• Support quarterly reviews and annual external audit deliverables.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business drivers and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis, process improvements, and special projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, assist with the month-end close process, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries, including month-end accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and fixed asset transactions.

• Assist with ad hoc analysis, process improvement initiatives, and other special projects as assigned.
• Help identify and implement improvements in internal processes, systems, and reporting workflows.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field study or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience (internship experience accepted).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) preferred.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment
• Must be able to work on-site in our Gardena laboratory/office.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Planning to pursue CPA certification
• Prior industry experience in healthcare or related sector a plus.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to interpret and communicate financial data clearly.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Friday

OPEN Healthcare US offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated salary for this role ranges from $60,000 to $69,000 per year. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's education, skills, qualifications, related work experience, and etc.
