Job summary

CFS in Fresno, CA (Onsite) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This role supports accurate financial reporting, accounting integrity, and informed leadership decisions across the organization.

You'll prepare monthly journals, reconcile ledgers, assist with close processes, and help with AP/AR and fixed assets while collaborating with operations and department leaders to improve reporting and processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP or accounting software systems.
• Manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or inventory-based industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial data and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Review general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting functions as needed.
• Partner with department leaders to provide reporting, resolve discrepancies, and improve processes.
