The Staff Accountant at Nine Energy Service will support the accounting team by preparing journal entries, maintaining ledgers, and performing reconciliations. You will assist with month-end close and provide analysis to help drive accurate financial reporting.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least three years of experience, with preference for NetSuite exposure and oilfield services experience; strong communication with operations and vendors is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred with a minimum of three years of experience.
• Experience with ERP software; NetSuite experience a plus.
• Experience in Oilfield Services, Accounts payable, strongly preferred.
• Customer service skills for interactions with Operations and vendors.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting functions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. This position will support the Senior Accountant/Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze financial results including comparisons to budgets/prior periods, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end close procedures including account analysis and reconciliation.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial management reports and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and are in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist with maintaining and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports to compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
• Experience with ERP software, NetSuite software a plus.
• Previous experience with Oilfield Services, Accounts payable, strongly preferred.
• Customer service skills for interactions with Operations and vendors.
