Job summary

Enclave, a Midwest real estate investment firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant at our West Fargo corporate office. This entry-level role supports monthly closings, journal entries, and financial reporting within a collaborative team.

You will assist with close processes, manage balance sheets, GL reviews, AP processing, and fixed asset tracking. A Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 1 year of accounting experience, plus solid Excel skills, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of general accounting experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with fixed asset software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries and accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
• Perform general ledger reviews and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly financial statement analysis and reporting
• Verify and process invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts payable
• Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses to the appropriate accounts
• Maintain records of financial transactions in accordance with company policies
• Track capital purchases, fixed assets, and building improvements
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper depreciation entries
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with legal and internal standards
• Monitor and support accounting procedures within assigned departments
• Identify and recommend opportunities for improving accounting processes
• Prepare special financial reports and analysis as requested by management.

Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in supporting the financial health and integrity of the organization. This entry-level accounting position focuses on day-to-day financial activities, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting monthly and year-end close processes. You’ll work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy, support compliance, and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the department.

Position Logistics

• Primary Work Location: West Fargo, ND Corporate Office
• Work Environment: On-Site
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | Standard Hours
• Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Position Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

• Assist with timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end close processes

We're Seeking Individuals Who Have

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), experience with fixed asset software and ERP systems is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of financial management.
• Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a professional approach to managing sensitive and confidential information.
