The Staff Accountant will handle invoicing, payment processing, collections, accounts payable, and general ledger activities, supporting month-end close and reporting. A degree in accounting and at least two years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with concentration in accounting.
• Minimum 2 years' experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Invoicing and billing: process AR transactions and verify details.
• Payment processing: code customer payments and reconcile cash applications in Infor Syteline.
• Collections: monitor overdue accounts and coordinate with sales to resolve issues.
• Accounts Payable: code and voucher vendor invoices.
• General Ledger: post journal entries, reconcile accounts, support month-end close and produce reports.
• Open, distribute and process incoming mail daily.

Essential Job Functions

Invoicing and Billing

• Perform the daily processing of accounts receivable transactions.
• Verify billing details, ensuring accuracy of product descriptions, quantities, and pricing.

Payment Processing

• Code customer checks received and reconcile customer payments (cash applications) via the ERP accounting system (Infor Syteline).
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments and billings.

Collections

• Monitor overdue accounts and contact customers to facilitate timely payment.
• Collaborate and coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Accounts Payable

• Coding and vouchering of vendor invoices received.

Generate debit memos and discrepant material return forms.

General Ledger

• Post and process journal entries
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
• Support month-end and year-end closing process
• Prepare basic accounting reports and balance sheet schedules
• Other Ad-hoc
• Open, distribute, and process incoming mail daily.
