Job summary

Scientific Search in Denison, TX is seeking a hands-on accountant to own AR, invoicing, collections, and payroll for a growing manufacturing operation. You will strengthen reporting, streamline journal entries, and automate processes to improve accuracy and decision-making.

The role includes month-end close support, inventory reconciliation, margin analysis, and data validation. Manufacturing accounting experience and SQL familiarity are a plus; you’ll work independently to tackle complex

Responsibilities

• Own AR, invoicing, collections, aging, and account reconciliations.
• Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Support month-end close, inventory reconciliation, job closures, and journal entries.
• Perform product/customer margin analysis and reporting.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, audits, and data validation.
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements and automation.

My client is seeking a hands-on accountant who can strengthen AR and payroll while helping clean up processes, improve reporting, and build more efficient accounting workflows.
