Addison Group is partnering with a well-established company in the logistics space to hire a Staff Accountant. This hands-on role offers strong ownership across general ledger, cash, AR, AP, reconciliations, and the monthly close.

You will post and reconcile banking activity, apply payments, and support reporting with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Experience with billing, collections, or cash application is a plus.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience working within an ERP or accounting system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Post and reconcile daily banking activity and cash transactions.
• Apply customer payments and support accounts receivable activity.
• Manage credit card coding, processing, and reconciliations.
• Assist with weekly payment processing and cash-related reporting.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and support the monthly close.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and related entries.
• Research and resolve discrepancies across AP, AR, and the general ledger.
• Assist with monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based accounting schedules and reports.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve billing and accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
• Support special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed.

This is a hands-on role with strong ownership opportunities and exposure across general ledger accounting, cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
