Job summary

Frederick Fox is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to support financial operations in a high-volume hospitality environment. You will prepare and post journal entries, run reconciliations, assist with multi-unit P&L, and manage vendor payments. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; you will collaborate with operations and help budgeting and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience; hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS) and accounting/ERP systems.
• Experience with high-volume cash environments.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations.
• Support multi-unit P&L preparation, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Assist with AP/AR processing, vendor management, and payment cycles.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow activity and support treasury functions as needed.
• Partner with operations leaders to resolve discrepancies and improve financial accuracy.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking across multiple locations.
