Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of general accounting experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Record and reconcile insurance-related cash activity, including premium payments, commissions, and return premiums
• Prepare invoices related to agency receivables and deductible recoveries
• Monitor outstanding receivables and maintain accurate aging records
• Assist with regulatory reporting, tax filings, and other compliance requirements
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
• Help maintain effective internal controls and ensure the accounting function remains audit-ready
• Analyze financial information and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
• Participate in special projects, system initiatives, and other accounting activities as needed

What We’re Looking For
