Job summary

The Cato Corporation is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the accounting team in Charlotte, NC. You will review and prepare journal entries, assist with quarterly and annual reporting, and perform reconciliations for account analysis.

Responsibilities include month-end close, monthly financial schedules, lease accounting, and supporting cross-functional projects. A BS in Accounting is required, with 1-2 years of experience and proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: B.S. in Accounting (MBA and or CPA is preferred but not required)

WORK EXPERIENCE: 1 - 2 years in Accounting, Oracle financial systems is preferred, proficient in Excel & other Microsoft applications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills including meeting scheduled deadlines.
