Integrated ID Systems, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. This position will help maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and assist with financial reporting while working closely with teams across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including vendor payments and customer collections.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts by monitoring variances and providing financial insights to management.
- Review and post daily invoice batches.
- Reconcile customer sales order discrepancies related to card printing services.
- Set up and maintain vendor accounts.
- Set up and maintain customer accounts in SalesPad and Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
- Verify credit references for net-term customers and establish appropriate credit limits.
- Process inventory adjustments, transfers, cycle counts, and full inventory counts.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing explanations of financial activities.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Support special financial projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience required.
- Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and SalesPad highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
