Job summary

SBH Fashion is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting activities from our Corporate Office in Los Angeles. The role reports to the Controller and is a full-time opportunity with a discretionary annual bonus.

You will own daily accounting operations, coordinate with store teams on cash handling, and contribute to accurate financial records and reporting. A degree in accounting and NetSuite experience are preferred, with 3+ years of related work expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related accounting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; lifting to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of the accounting department, including daily sales and bank reconciliations.
• Liaise with store teams for cash handling, chargebacks, and receiving history.
• Responsible for month-end close tasks and general ledger maintenance
• Expense report and reimbursement management
• Analyze and prepare sales tax payments through Avalara.
• Serve as the expense management administrator and review reimbursements.
• Manage Accounting inbox for department communications.
• Assist with providing documentation for Year End Audit and review requests.
• Maintain documentation of proper accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide recommendations for improving processes and procedures.

Position Objectives

This is a full-time opportunity, in which the Staff Accountant will assist in the day-to-day accounting activities of the department. This position is responsible for supporting management in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing basic reports, and contributing to ensure compliance.This position reports to the Controller and is based in our Corporate Office in Los Angeles.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Responsible for month-end close tasks and general ledger maintenance

• Manage “Accounting” inbox for department communications.
• Assist with providing documentation for Year End Audit and review requests.
• Maintain documentation of proper accounting policies and procedures.
