Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP in California seeks an Accountant focused on the full accounts receivable cycle, including banking activities, month-end close, and reconciliations. This role also backs up the Accounts Payable team as needed.

Responsibilities include daily cash applications, AR reconciliations, leading weekly AR meetings, cash forecasting, intercompany reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting audits. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Relevant experience in a job costing and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Account Reconciliations.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cash applications and ensure proper application to the customer(s) account.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Lead weekly A/R meetings with contracts and customer service to timely resolve open A/R issues.
  • Prepare the monthly cash forecast.
  • Daily reconciliation to corporate cash balances.
  • Responsible for reconciling intercompany transactions and month-end balances.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, performing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Evaluates credit for new and existing customers.
  • Performs collection activities, investigates outstanding invoices and processes liens for collections.
  • Learn the Accounts Payable processes to support the team as a back-up during peak cycles.
  • Prepare documents and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively manage cash inflows/outflows.
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
  • Other duties with the work as assigned.

Additional Information
  • Annual Target Salary = $75,000.00
  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
